New Chef in town...

Nic wants to be a chef! Since peeling garlics for a second dinner prep in a row he told me that " I am a chef and you are a waiter"........ I have to admit he was alot faster at peeling tonight!
Take a look at some interesting garlic facts:

Bee in a sock

Nic got up from nap and put his sock on to find a bee inside which apparently stung him. At first he was certain about which toe it was, then later on the toe changed! But all is well and the offending bee has passed on to the honeycomb in the sky.

Nic helped peel garlics as I made dinner, "whoa, I peeled 100 garlics! Oh, maybe more like 67." Ok Nic, count them....."Ah, its only 10!"

Mango Boy

Thursday, 28 May 2009

Market day went well, with quite an abundance which Evelyne and Nic helped sort. we had some nice mangoes which brought back memories of a distant tropical country and discussion of the mango tree which we had in the garden " and we didn't even have to go and buy them"--Evelyne

The grass cutters came by, lovely older couple that do a fantastic job on cool John Deere mowers that they ride on. Nic was very happy to give them some packs of crisps, which they undoubtedly enjoyed....

In the afternoon all 3 kids got to be in the car while they got rearranged on the driveway, and we even took an extra 'spin' on the front lawn, which must have been exciting enough as it made Roo soil his diaper....
